XIRA provides an online marketplace, a virtual office, and the ability to be part of the XIRA community. Unlike sites that only allow clients to search for lawyers, XIRA also helps clients find, book a consultation with, and meet with lawyers who meet their particular needs. And, unlike self-service legal form sites, XIRA gives individuals the opportunity to consult with a professional. Need a Speaker? We’ve got you covered.

With a slight Southern accent and some occasional blunt humor, Michelle tackles the challenging topics of unconscious gender bias and the motherhood penalty in the legal profession. Michelle focuses on structural barriers to women’s success and the big and small changes in the profession (and sometimes changes outside of the profession) that will help both women lawyers and their male colleagues have more successful careers and career satisfaction. Michelle will not be discussing how you can change yourself to better fit into or adapt to the current system. If you are looking for a seminar that tells you how to “improve” your negotiating skills in order to achieve pay equity, let me repeat, this is not the presentation for you. If you want to talk about concrete strategies we can take to change the legal profession to achieve pay equity, though, then let’s get together. Michelle has decided there’s nobody more equipped for breaking down walls than a mom in her minivan!
